We’re proud to announce our 2025 Premier Coaching team!
Returning for another season is Ellery Wilson, a coach with an outstanding record. A Premier centurion, HB Magpies player and assistant coach, HB 7s player and coach, and Hawke's Bay Academy Manager, Ellery also boasts numerous other age-grade coaching roles. There's not much this man doesn’t know about the game!
Joining him again this year is Matt Wyatt, another accomplished Level 3 World Rugby coach. With 70 Premier caps, Matt has coached multiple Hawke's Bay age-grade teams, the St John’s College 1st XV, and previously served as Rugby Director for NOBM.
Ellery and Matt will once again be supported by their trusted management team: Mitch Gardiner, Anthony Easson, and the evergreen Peter “Bam Bam” Bainbridge.
The club wishes the team all the best as they prepare for the upcoming season. Here’s to building on last year’s impressive run to the Maddison Trophy final—let’s take it one step further and bring home the championship!
